Skiing in a safe environement
In order to make their ski area as safe as possible, the "Societe des 3 Vallees" has created wide runs cordoned off from the other slopes, so beginners, families and other skiers can ski slowly and in complete safety. These "Novice Evolution Zones" are served by free lifts and provide stress-free conditions in which to learn to ski!
At Courchevel: the Practice ZEN.
Conveyor lift (suitable for beginners),
Pralong ZEN, Mickey ZEN, the Envolée ZEN. At Méribel: the Rossignol ZEN
Châtel's "ZALP" (Zone d'Activité Ludique and Pédagogique or Area for Fun and Learning Activities) is a 250m-long run, surrounded by protective netting, on which you can measure your speed, either alone or with a ski instructor. This area, with its timing gate and speed display screen, can be used for fun, for improving your technique, or for testing ski gear.
